Australia Vs India 3rd Test Betting Latest – Day 1 of the 3rd Test between Australia and India was shortened due to rain.
But it was still an enthralling day with the Aussies just about in the lead.
Warner didn’t look 100% fit
David Warner’s comeback was short lived as he was caught at first slip for just 5. And in this brief stay at the crease, he looked anything but 100% fit.
The day belonged to Aussie debutant Will Pucovski, who made his debut aged 22.
The opener has had a troubled journey en route to the Test team. But after a shaky start, he managed to compose himself and make a respectable 62.
Also making the headlines was young Indian seam bowler, Mohammed Siraj, who was overcome with emotion during the Indian national anthem.
The youngster then had a mixed day when the game got started.
He managed to pick up the wicket of Warner, but didn’t really apply the pressure needed to support the excellent Jasprit Bumrah at the other end.
Siraj looks a decent prospect, and will have far better days in Test cricket, that’s for sure.
Australia finished the day on 166/2, only 55 Overs were possible. At the crease when play resumes on Day 2 Marnus Labuschagne (67no), and Steve Smith (31no).
In the latest match betting, the Aussies are still the bookmakers favourites. After starting the match on 8/13, they are now int 2/5.
A couple of quick early wickets for the tourists could make that 2/5 look extremely short though!
