The Hundred Table (Mens)
Welsh Fire Men vs Southern Brave Men Betting Tips 27th July 2021
Southern Brave were absolutely trounced by Trent Rockets in their opening fixture, losing by 9 wickets with 18 balls remaining.
They will be hoping for better today when they travel to Cardiff, and let’s be honest, they can hardly do any worse.
Southern have fire power at the top of their order with skipper James Vince and Devon Conway, but after that the batting cupboard does look a touch bear.
All-rounders Colin de Grandhomme and Chris Jordan do make them a dangerous side, but I feel it’s imperative that the top two make an impact if Southern Brave are to have any success in this competition.
For Welsh Fire, they won their opening fixture against Northern Superchargers, largely thanks to the blistering start given to them by Jonny Bairstow.
Ben Duckett and Jimmy Neesham also played decent innings in that win. And with Bairstow set to depart for England duty soon, Tom Banton will need to step up to the mark.
The bowling department could be a problem for Welsh Fire as the tournament progresses. They seem to have placed a strong emphasis on middle overs seam bowling with Liam Plunkett and Jake Ball. I’m not sure that’s the best option in this format.
Tough to call this one, I believe it could go either way. Given home advantage, I’m going to go with Welsh Fire’s batting to outgun the visitors today.
