London Spirit Men vs Trent Rockets Men Betting Tips 29th July 2021
Eoin Morgan and Alex Hales will come face-to-face on live TV in this intriguing battle in The Hundred at Lord’s on Thursday evening.
Alex Hales and his Trent Rocket team mates are the early pace setters in The Hundred, winning two from two so far.
They will be without Joe Root for this match though, the batsman has joined up with England ahead of the India series.
You may be thinking, so what, Root’s not a big hitter, and that is correct. But Root will be missed for his bowling.
In the Rocket’s opening two matches Root has played a huge roll with the ball. He took 1/17 from his 20 balls against Southern Brave, and 0/22 off 15 balls against Northern Superchargers.
Okay, so the Superchargers performance wasn’t match winning. But a certain Rashid Khan picked up 3/31, showing the importance of spin bowling as a collective unit.
For London Spirit, they are yet to win this season. They lost to Birmingham Phoenix in their opening match, and then had their second match washed out against Oval Invinclbles.
They were on course to win against Phoenix, until youngster Chris Benjamin played his match winning cameo.
Other issues going against London Spirit is the loss of Zak Crawley and Dan Lawrence to England. They also lose Mark Wood, although he hasn’t featured for them yet this season.
Both sides will be forced to make changes, and Trent Rockets won’t be playing on their favoured home surface.
I’m expecting a close game, and I don’t discount London Spirit at all. But on current from, I have to really go for the Rockets to make it three from three.
