Road Safety World Series Betting

The Road Safety World Series is an international T20 competition involving legends teams, played in India – and all the main bookmakers are allowing betting on it.

If you thought you’d seen the end of legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara, then you’re in for a treat, as they are the sort of players taking part in the Road Safety World Series competition.

How Many Teams Play in the Road Safety World Series?

Originally there was five teams competing when the tournament started in 2020. They were Australia Legends, India Legends, South Africa Legends, Sri Lanka Legends, and West Indies Legends.

There are now six teams participating in the 2021 leg of Road Safety World Series, they are……

  • Bangladesh Legends
  • England Legends
  • India Legends
  • South Africa Legends
  • Sri Lanka Legends
  • West Indies Legends

The Covid-19 Impact on the Legends World Series

The Road Safety World Series originally started in March 2020, but was halted due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Rather than cancelling the 2020 edition, and holding a fresh 2021 edition, the organisers settled on a half way house.

The competition is now an amalgamation of the original 2020 competition, and the 2021 version. Four of the original five Legends teams are back. With Bangladesh and England added to the competition, making it a six team competition.

Australia Legends are the team to drop out. They’ve been officially replaced by Bangladesh Legends. Australia decided not to return to complete the competition, due to Covid-19 related travel restrictions.

The second change is England have now joined the competition. All this means the competition will have a bit of a higgledy-piggledy feel about it, with 7 teams in the group table. This despite only 6 teams now taking part.

Road Safety World Series Betting

Despite this not officially being a competitive series, the bookmakers are still taking bets on the competition.

There aren’t as many markets available as there would be on the IPL for example, but all the main markets are available to bet on.

This includes top run scorer, top batsman, highest opening partnership, etc.
