New Zealand batsman Devon Conway had a Test debut to remember, and his double century certainly was the talk of Twitter.
The opening batsman became only the second Kiwi – and seventh or all time – batsman to score a double hundred on debut.
And if scoring a double wasn’t enough, Conway only went and brought the 200 up with a massive 6.
Conway did manage to end his innings in bizarre style by running himself out in the following over. But by then, he had already done the damage.
The South African born batsman could have only dreamed of making such an impact when he arrived in New Zealand back in 2017 to forge a new career for himself.
His 200 runs helped New Zealand to a 1st innings score of 378, putting the visitors in a strong position in the opening Test match.
