The 2025 edition of The Hundred visits Cardiff for the first time with the Welsh Fire hosting the London Spirit in Match 6 at Sophia Gardens.
The Fire lost their opening match away in Leeds to the Northern Superchargers on Thursday night.
An opening stand of 62 between Steve Smith and Jonny Bairstow helped the Fire to post an imposing 143/9.
However, the Fire’s bowlers couldn’t contain England’s Zak Crawley, who led the Superchargers’ to a dominant 8 wicket win with an unbeaten 67.
London Spirit cleared the decks in an bid to improve the franchise’s fortunes after a disappointing 2024.
However, the changing of the guard failed to work, with the Spirit getting bowled out for just 80. They eventually lost by six wickets to their capital city rivals, the Oval Invincibles.
