England batsman Jonny Bairstow<\/a> joins Melbourne Stars for the Big Bash.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melbourne Stars have announced that England opening batsman Jonny Bairstow is to join them for BBL|10. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The big hitting batsman is set to join up with the Stars after Christmas, and will be available for the remainder of the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to that, Bairstow is due to tour South Africa in November and December with England. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He will then be required to quarantine on his arrival in Australia. Before he can join up with his new team mates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the past few weeks, Bairstow has been in UAE playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad<\/a><\/strong> in the IPL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite having done reasonably well, he was left out of the team for the last few matches as the Sunrisers searched for a winning formula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonny Bairstow joins Melbourne Stars for Big Bash debut<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Remarkably, this will be Bairstow\u2019s first appearance in the Big Bash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to the Stars\u2019 official website, Bairstow said <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m really pleased to have signed with the Stars, I\u2019ve always watched the BBL no matter where I\u2019ve been in the world and it will be nice to finally be a part of it. I know the Stars are one of the competition\u2019s profile clubs and have a track record of being in contention in finals.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe list is looking good and I can\u2019t wait to get involved alongside Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis and Adam Zampa who I\u2019ve been playing against during the IPL. I know Melbourne has been through a tough time over the winter with COVID so I hope the Stars can bring some of the fun back over summer and put a smile on people\u2019s faces.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

BBL|10 Betting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Melbourne Stars<\/a><\/strong> open their Big Bash League campaign at home to Brisbane in the 2nd match of the competition. The fixture takes place on 11th December. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

David Hussey\u2019s team are the 8\/11 favourites to win their opening match, with opponents, Brisbane Heat at 23\/20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
