The race for fourth spot has really heated up now after the Gladiators shock win over Lahore on Tuesday.
Now all of a sudden, if Quetta could make it back to back wins, they will be level on points with the Sultans. who currently sit fourth.
Where things don’t bode well for the Gladiators though, is that they have a far inferior Net Run Rate to all other five teams in the competition.
This is also the Gladiators penultimate group match as well. Which makes it must win for Sarfaraz Ahmed’s team.
That task will be difficult enough against Multan Sultans.
The Sultans have won both of their matches since the resumption. In Match 16 they defeat Karachi Kings by 12 runs, and in Match 21 they thrashed Peshawar by 8 wickets.
The Sultans also have Mohammad Rizwan leading the team, and he’s currently in the form of his life.
Taking all of this into account, I’m going for Rizwan and the Sultans to end the Gladiators play off hopes.
