The County Championship kicked off again on the 6th April, and it promises to be another enthralling season with the likes of Lancashire, Durham, Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire and Somerset all competing for the Division 1 Championship.
Into Division 2, and big county names like Essex and Surrey will be competing with teams like Hampshire, Worcester and Derbyshire for a return to the top flight.
The season runs until the end of September (there is a break in the middle for the domestic T20), the bottom 2 in Division 1 go down, and they are replaced by the top 2 in Division 2.

31/04/14 – The latest round of County Championship matches has finished, seeing wins for Warwickshire, Somerset, Middlesex and Lancashire.
All this sees Sussex remain top of the table, but they are still not regarded as overall favourites in the betting.
Yorkshire are favourites to win County Championship Division 1 at a best price of 4/1 with Bet365. Warwickshire are 9/2 with BetVictor, and Susses are 5/1 with Ladbrokes.
Some bookies can’t separate the three, but if you are prepared to shop around, you can find better prices (as shown above).
Into Division 2 and Hampshire are favourites at a best price of 7/2 with Winner. Hampshire only managed a draw (with Surrey) in their last match, and are currently second in the table having played a game more than their main rivals.
Essex are their closest rivals in the betting, they are currently 9/2 with Ladbrokes. Essex are third in the table, 13 points behind Hampshire, and 15 points behind leaders Worcester, who are a best price 9/2 with Bet365 to win the Division 2 title.
17/04/14 – The latest round of County Championship matches is over and after completing their second match, Sussex now find themselves leading Division 1 with 43 points, 18 ahead of closest rivals Nottinghamshire.
All this means that Sussex are now installed as 7/2 favourites with SkyBet, with Warwickshire (who are bottom after 1 match) now second favourites at a best price of 9/2 with Bet365.
Into the 2nd Division and favourites Hampshire lead the table by 1 point from Worcestershire. Hampshire are currently a best price of 3/1 with Bet365.
