Pakistan V New Zealand – 2nd ODI Betting Preview

Match Betting Match being played in Abu Dhabi

New Zealand are 7/4 with Totesport
A Tied Match is 55/1 with Betfair

Pakistan go into the 2nd ODI against New Zealand as favourites to win both game and series on the back of their impressive win in Tuesday’s opening match. At 75/4 in the 1st game Pakistan’s batsman were struggling until a middle order onslaught from Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal and Abdul Razzaq got them up to what turned out to be a more that competitive total of 287/9.

If the batting didn’t look that convincing then the bowling made up for it as New Zealand were bowled out for just 149, Mohammad Aamer and Saeed Ajmal looked particularly impressive both bowling 7 overs at an economy rate of less than two and a half.

New Zealand welcome back Kyle Mills and James Franklin who missed the 1st game with injury, and on the basis of their performance they need all the help that they can get, Mills, who is a proven top ODI performer will expect to walk back into this side.

The Kiwi’s have had a look at the conditions now and as they tend to do when written off will look to provide an improved performance. Similarly to Pakistan, their batting looks weak (with no Jesse Ryder in the squad) but they have the makings of a decent bowling unit and their fielding is generally up to the job. Expect a closer game this time.

Probable Teams

Pakistan – Salman Butt, Khalid Latif, Younis Khan (C), Mohammad Yousuf, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal (WK), Abdul Razzaq, Umar Gul, Mohammad Aamer, Saeed Ajmal

New Zealand – Aaron Redmond, Brendon McCullum (WK), Martin Guptill, Ross Taylor, Scott Styris, Daniel Vettori (C), Jacob Oram, James Franklin, Shane Bond, Kyle Mills, Tim Southee

  1. Good Preview. If your going to have a bet on this, please think of the folks that live in countries where betting is restricted to horse racing and a couple of football fixtures, or is banned completely, and sign the petition to deregulate the industry at
