Cricket Betting – Sri Lanka V Australia

Having tipped Zimbabwe to upset New Zealand and watching the Kiwis win by the small margin of 10 wickets, I feel that I am now in no position to tip anything ever again.

I suppose one positive is that I didn’t tip Bangladesh to beat West Indies, as they were even worse than Zimbabwe. I heard a disturbing report that Ricky Ponting was up to his old tricks again, apparently this time he stoned the West Indies team coach as it left the ground.

This man is clearly out of control, the authorities should have thrown him out after the incident in which he smashed the television to smithereens with his box.

Tomorrow’s game between Sri Lanka and Australia looks too close to call. The Sri Lankans are slight favourites at a best price of 10/11 with Coral and Sportingbet. Australia are Evens with Sky Bet and Totesport.

Not going to bother having a bet on this one, I do have a sneaky feeling for Australia though.

With the way my tipping is going, I feel the need to put a bet on South Africa on Sunday. Everything else I have touched has lost, so at least it would mean a much needed win for England.

Would your cricket loving Buddies enjoy this?

Perhaps it was Shakib’s box that bounced up this time…the one he had borrowed from Ponting! 🙂

As for Oz vs SL, my own feeling is that the team that bats first will sneak home. Regardless, looking forward to this one!

But you know while it’s true that Malinga, Murali & Mendis (I’d play him as Oz haven’t seen him enough) are a threat to the Aussies… the SL batsmen themselves need to be wary of the Aussie quicks who had pretty much destroyed them at the T20 WC in the WI. (Guess it all depends on the pitch we get… the high-scoring one vs Pak or the more tricky one from Pak vs Canada.)

  2. Thats the problem with trying to predict these things BP, the pitch. We never know what it’s relly going to be like.

On any given day, the Aussie quicks will destroy any team on the right pitch. Also the same applys with the Sri Lankan batsmen, something tells me that the wicket is more likely to favour SL’s batsmen.

Also Malinga’s most effective ball is his yorker, and it doesn’t really matter what type of pitch it is for that ball.
