Welsh Fire Women vs Southern Brave Women Betting Tips 27th July 2021
Southern Brave Women won their opening match of The Hundred with a 23 run win over the Trent Rockets.
A win today sees them go to 4 points, alongside group leaders Northern Superchargers and Oval Invincibles (both on 4 points from two matches).
Stafanie Taylor rescued the Brave when they were in trouble in their opening match, scoring 45no from 31 balls. When Taylor came to the crease, Southern Brave were 8/2 from 14 balls.
After that it was the Anya Shrubsole show. The skipper partnered Taylor with 40no from 30 balls, and then took 4/13 from her 20 balls. Surprisingly, it was Taylor who won the match hero award.
As for Welsh Fire, they scored a decent looking 130/8 in their opening defeat to Northern Superchargers Women. The Fire had contributions throughout the team with no stand out innings.
They were by and large undone by a remarkable 92no from Jemimah Rodrigues. Without the innings from the Indian all-rounder, Fire may well have won that match.
I’m going to go with form though, and the strength offered by the all-rounders of Southern Brave to win this one.
I’m backing Anya Shrubsole and Stafanie Taylor and company to do the business again.
