Oval Invincibles Women vs Birmingham Phoenix Women Betting Tips 20th August 2021
In the group match between these two sides, Oval Invincibles Women won by 8 wickets. The match was played when Birmingham Phoenix were really struggling.
Oval Invincibles Women lost their last match to Southern Brave Women. The Invincibles were already guaranteed a top 3 place at the time. And in fairness everyone loses to the Brave.
Over the duration of the competition they have looked a strong side, and their tag of favourites going into this match is more than justified.
As for Birmingham Phoenix Women, what a run they’ve been on. After just one win in their opening five matches, the Phoenix then reeled off three straight wins to sneak into third position.
Granted, they did need a massive stroke of good fortune in their final group game.
Northern Superchargers Women were coasting towards victory and the final spot in the play-offs, in what was effectively a quarter-finals match against the Phoenix.
Under some immense pressure it has to be said, the Superchargers simply wilted away and collapsed in spectacular fashion. Handing Phoenix the victory and the final play-off spot.
Going into the Women’s Eliminator match, Birmingham are without Indian superstar Shafali Verma for the match (and final should Birmingham get there).
The Indian batter has had to return home to prepare for an upcoming series against Australia.
I think Verma’s absence, along with the Invincibles looking the stronger side, I’m going to go with the Invincibles to win this.
