This looks like being the end of the 2021 IPL campaign for the Mumbai Indians.
The defending champions have been poor since the restart, and they now need a miracle to win by a big enough margin to take fourth spot off Kolkata Knight Riders.
If Mumbai bat first, they will need to win by 171 runs. Now even taking into consideration just how bad Sunrisers Hyderabad have been this season, that isn’t going to happen.
If Mumbai bowl first, qualification is simply out of the question!
As for SRH, they are guaranteed a last place position, no matter what the result today.

It’s a dangerous match as neither side really have anything to play for, despite Mumbai having the most ridiculous of mathematical chances.
