Finally, the day of the final has arrived, and it’s fair to say just a few days ago. not many would have predicted Multan vs Peshawar.
The Sultans have just hit form at the right time. They won four of their last five group matches, and then made light work of Islamabad United in the Qualifier on Monday.
The Sultans ended up beating the runaway group winners by a massive 31 runs.
As for Peshawar, they’ve suddenly hit form in the play off stages.
In the final weeks of the group stages, they were hit and miss. But in the play offs, they beat defending champions Karachi Kings by 5 wickets in the 1st Eliminator, before thrashing Islamabad United by 8 wickets in the 2nd Eliminator.
In this year’s PSL, honours were shared between the two teams.
Zalmi won the first match back in February by 6 wickets. Then the Sultans gained revenge just under 2 weeks ago, thrashing Peshawar by 8 wickets.
Multan have the in form batsman in Pakistan cricket over the past few weeks in Mohammad Rizwan.
I expect to see Rizwan in the runs again in this match, and to lead his side to victory.
Rizwan is also a decent value looking 3.25 to be the top run scorer in this match for the Sultans.
