England vs New Zealand Betting Tips 10th November 2021
My head is telling me England will win this, but for some reason I just have a sneaky feeling for New Zealand.
This is the fourth ICC competition in a row that New Zealand have reached the semi-finals in. They reached the final of the last two 50 Over world cups, and lost at this stage in the 2016 T20 World Cup to guess who, yep, England.
Surely, they’re due to beat the English sooner or later?
Has England’s injuries opened the door to a New Zealand win?
Could today be the day. England have lost Tymal Mills and Jason Roy already in this competition, and they are big blows.
Roy has been instrumental in England’s white ball successes of late. While Mills was proving to be a more than adequate replacement for Jofra Archer.
The loss of Roy though seems to have got England in a bit of a pickle. There is talk of picking another bowler, the prospect of Moeen Ali moving up the order, or Malan or Bairstow moving up to open.
I suspect it will be Bairstow, with Sam Billings coming in to replace him in the middle order. This represents the least upheaval for England.
Anything else would be abandoning the formula that got them here, as an extra bowler wouldn’t have been introduced to the side if Roy was fit.
Clean bill of health for the Kiwis
New Zealand have no issues ahead of the match and go in with as clean a bill of health as you can get in the latter stages of a competition.
The Kiwis have had a settled team throughout the tournament. They lost Locke Ferguson early on, but Adam Milne is a more than adequate replacement and has done a decent job for the team.
Milne was almost unplayable in The Hundred competition in England earlier this year. And that won’t be lost on the England batters, especially Moeen Ali who captained him at Birmingham.
ENG vs NZ Who Will Win
I don’t know why, but I just have a sneaky feeling for New Zealand today.
I accept that player of the tournament (in my view) Jos Buttler could go out and play a match winning innings and make my prediction look utterly stupid, but i’m picking New Zealand to upset the odds today and win this one.
