Otago Volts Vs Wellington Firebirds Prediction 14/1/21

Wellington Firebirds are the form team of Super Smash 2020/21 so far this season.

The Firebirds will be looking to consolidate their position at the top of the table when they take their 100% record to Dunedin on Thursday.

Last time out, Wellington won by 80 runs, and the previous match was a 9 wicket victory.

Whereas Otago have been too inconsistent for my liking. They’ve won two, and lost two, and their team doesn’t look anywhere near as strong as Wellington’s on paper.

The Firebirds are powered by Finn Allen and Devon Conway at the top of the order. And they can rely on established Kiwi internationals Tom Blundell and Jimmy Neesham further down the order.

I just can’t make a case for the Volts here, and can only see a fifth straight victory for Wellington.
