Just seen this tweet from Tony Greig…..
I concede! These days Eng and Ind both useless playing each other away from home. Perhaps future series should be best of 6 – 3 home 3 away
Does Greigy have a point? On the evidence I’ve seen so far, I don’t think there could be two worse travelling teams. Neither have adapted to the conditions experienced in the opposing teams country.
How can both teams get so outplayed in each others countries? Maybe Greig is right, an aggregate score could be the way forward.
It could also be used in test cricket and if it is set up in the right way it could possibly replace the doomed test championship, with a home and away aggregate test match series ‘league table format’ deciding the winner over a set period of time.
