Hobart Hurricanes Vs Adelaide Strikers Betting Odds

Match Preview – Brief Summary

  • Hobart Hurricanes Vs Adelaide Strikers is Match 8 in the BBL|10. The match is on 15th December, and starts at 7.15pm local time, 8.15am in the UK.
  • Yes, this is the same fixture as Match 5. Such is the logistics of this season’s Big Bash, that back to back fixtures like this will occur, as matches and teams are grouped together for precautions against Covid-19.
  • The venue for this fixture is Aurora Stadium, Launceston, Tasmania.
  • The Hurricanes sit second in the table with 7 points from two games.
  • While the Adelaide Strikers have played one, and lost it – to the Hobart Hurricanes – in Match 5!!
  • Hobart beat Sydney Sixers by 16 runs in a match the Sixers will probably believe they should have won.
  • They then followed that up with an 11 run victory over Adelaide in Match 5.
  • The Strikers’ batting was woeful in the defeat. Had it not been for a 61 run partnership for the final wicket, the result would have been very embarrassing for Peter Siddle’s team.
  • Indeed at one point, Adelaide were 49/6, so they did well to get as close to the Hurricanes score as they did.
  • The batting has to be a worry for the Adelaide Strikers. But as Daniel Worrall and Danny Briggs showed, they have plenty of big hitting down the order.
  • That will be a huge plus point if the batsmen can put some runs on the board at the top of the order.

Hobart Hurricanes Vs Adelaide Strikers Prediction 15/12/20

Danny Briggs had a baptism of fire with the ball. Briggs will know he has the backing of coach Jason Gillespie, and he also knows he can lean on Rashid Khan whenever he needs support.

If Briggs and Khan can work together in tandem, they will cause any side problems.

For the Hurricanes, they still have slight question marks about their batting.

D’Arcy Short delivered in their victory over the Strikers. As did Tim David and Colin Ingram in the defeat to to Sydney Sixers. But in amongst the heavy scorers, there is a lack of others chipping in.

That did slightly improve in the win over Adelaide, but there is still holes in the line up for me.

It’s a bit of a 50/50 call for me this one. But I’m going to go with the Strikers as I think Rashid Khan might be due a haul this time around.
