Andrew Fintoff is definately out and now Matt Prior is doubtful, it’s all happening for England at the moment ahead of the 4th test at Headingley today. With England wanting to keep changes to a minimum it must mean under fire Stuart Broad will hang onto his place and if Prior dosen’t make it then Jonathon Trott will have to come in to strengthen the batting line up.
Before Prior’s injury it was debatable whether England would have replaced Flintoff with Harmison or took the negative decision and picked Trott to strenghthen the batting and possibly look to settle for the draw.
Australia are considering changes to their bowling attack as Stuart Clark and Brett Lee are pushing for recalls. Captain Ricky Ponting suggested that Brett Lee would miss out yesterday when he said that it’s fine bowling flat out in the nets but would it give you enough milage in the legs to last for 5 days?
It looks like the Aussie’s will leave out spinner Nathan Hauritz and play a four man bowling attack (and Shane Watson) meaning Stuart Clark will have a great chance of getting the nod.
