El Clasico

Or more like El Thrashio! What a performance it was by Barcelona. They didn’t just hammer Real Madrid, they humiliated them with their 5-0 victory.

Barcelona comfortably outclassed Madrid, Mourinho’s men could hardly get a foot on the ball, let alone keep it for any period of time. Barcelona showed more passion, hunger and discipline.

But the thing that really impressed me the most was their total commitment and work rate to get the ball back, the intensity with which they pressed Madrid on the rare occasion they had possession was non stop.

These players are not just a bunch of exceptionally talented footballers, they are prepared to work hard and really put in a shift. There was certainly no standing back and just admiring a pass on Monday night.

I’d say that they were biding their time, just waiting to get revenge on Mourinho after he knocked Barca out of last years Champions League with his boring as hell Inter Milan side.

At the end of the match I thought Sergio Ramos was a disgrace. His tackle on Messi was a vicious and blatent attempt to injure a fellow pro. He should be ashamed of himself.

On a personal note, I thought it was great to see Barcelona smash Real Madrid, mainly for the benefit of that horrible little idiot of a manager.

In my opinion Mourinho is a disgrace, his actions in the recent Champions League against Ajax, where he alledgedly instructed Xabi Alonso and Sergio Ramos to get themselves deliberately sent off was a blatent act of bringing the game into disrepute.

A line Mourinho seems only too happy to regularly cross. But why wouldn’t he, when he knows that UEFA won’t do a thing about it.

Their so-called punishment today of a two match touchline ban from UEFA matches for Mourinho was nothing more than a let-off. It is effectively a one match ban, as the 2nd one is suspended for 3 years.

And what game does the one match ban apply too? Yes, the dead rubber he wanted his players to miss. Oh, and just for good measure his players didn’t get any extra suspensions either, just a slap on the rist fine.

So Mourinho and all his players will be just fine for the 1st knock out round of the Champions League.

Justice, UEFA style.
